Wiltshire Parent Carer Council
For the WPCC, I was tasked with re-developing their website form scratch, ensuring easier maintenance and retaining full functionality for the two calendars they maintain.
This required some custom plugin development with a huge helping hand from my friend Rich Holman.
This custom calendar pulls taxonomies from another Wordpress plugin, ACF Pro. It features advanced preference settings such as date exclusion and all recurrence options you could think of.
Overall the largest hurdle in the project was the sheer scale of information hosted on their previous website. The key to this problem was communication and strategy, I was able to help focus the goals of this redesign to simplify the process of deciding what stays and what doesn’t.
Focus Counselling
My time at Focus was split between touching up their existing Squarespace website and researching, planning and implementing a new CRM system for counsellors.
A lot of my time was spent conducting steak-holder interviews, doing user research, and managing expectations between the trustees and management team.
The web design part of the job wasn’t just to alter the existing website’s look and feel but also, and most importantly, the processes behind the web design.
Developing new and more efficient systems for processing clients behind the scenes in tandem with bringing the user experience of the website from bellow par to a sleek, modern and simple journey.
Bath Wellbeing Counselling
Anna was a joy to work with. Bath Wellbeing Counselling was just getting started as a solo business. Anna already had some ideas about how she wanted her website to feel, and together we came up with a solid plan.
She wanted her clients to get a feel of her counselling style and put an emphasis on wellbeing and life style. She new her customers and a lot of the time thats half the journey (or more).
Ultimately we settled on a Spa inspired, simple design philosophy . The goal was to get clients in touch with Anna and the websites purpose was to tell people why they would and give them an easy way to do so.
